About the Role

Wood plc is seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Operations Readiness service line, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our business in the Energy and Petrochemicals sector in the USA, particularly in the Houston area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with existing clients to drive growth and revenue.
  • Lead specific client contracts, serving as the primary contact for Operations Readiness scopes and providing technical expertise for bids and bid reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Growth & Development function to support business development efforts and secure new projects.
  • Contribute to shaping our Operations Readiness team strategy and procedures, and cultivate relationships with Wood colleagues globally.
  • Ensure delivery excellence by meeting or surpassing KPIs and project deadlines.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Experience in a Process Operations environment in Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industries.
  • Experience of Operations Readiness deliverables (Maintenance, Operations, Training & Competency).
  • Experience in a client-facing position, with a strong track record of achievement in a lead role.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Operations readiness requirements, maintenance system requirements, and operations documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and client-focused approach.
