The Maintenance Director plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of facility upkeep. This position involves hands-on maintenance responsibilities along with managerial duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program, including repairs, new construction, and equipment installation.
  • Supervise and train maintenance personnel, ensuring high-quality service from external vendors and contractors.
  • Collaborate with various departments to coordinate maintenance activities and establish a robust preventative maintenance strategy.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including ordering and inventorying supplies and equipment.
  • Engage in community assessments conducted by authorized agencies and formulate corrective action plans for any identified maintenance issues.
  • Uphold confidentiality of resident care in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Foster a warm, patient, and enthusiastic environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or commercial properties.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including boilers, compressors, and generators.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Ability to address common inquiries or concerns from clients, regulatory bodies, or business associates.
