Job Title: Overnight Intake Specialist

GDIT is seeking an experienced Intake Specialist to support a government agency in receiving case referrals and performing intake and placement for eligible program participants.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency hot-line calls and manage an e-mail based resource inbox
  • Analyze complex requests regarding vulnerable populations to determine the most appropriate level of care
  • Makes initial determinations/assessments on placement and informs the appropriate agency
  • Documents and refers to appropriate person(s)
  • Maintains confidential files and other related records of cases
  • Prepares shift reports on significant issues and briefs next shift staffer on outstanding cases
  • Coordinates and provides status updates on placements for the life cycle of the case intake process
  • Responsible for input and verification of data for each case
  • Reviews source documents for accuracy of input data using a system of quality assurance
  • May be responsible for the integrity of certain database information
  • Investigates questionable data and takes corrective action when necessary
  • Performs other administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related discipline preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience with a BA/BS degree; 4 years of experience with an AA/AS degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and expert user of MS Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Attributes for Success:
  • Experience working with immigrant, refugee, and underserved populations is preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
Additional Requirements:
  • Requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Requires Public Trust or the ability to obtain one

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $23.70 - $32.06. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, but rather a range based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Travel Required: Less than 10%

Telecommuting Options: Hybrid

Work Location: USA DC Washington
