POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Operations Coordinator is accountable for the effective communication and coordination of information among Security Management, Security Personnel, Surveillance Teams, various Casino Departments, Local Law Enforcement, and Emergency Medical Services across the property and associated operations managed by Four Winds Casinos. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of all gaming areas and the overall property, safeguarding both lives and assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains comprehensive logs of all radio and telephone communications entering and exiting the Security Dispatch Center, ensuring appropriate notifications are made based on the nature of the communications. Allocates Security Officers as required for specific details and requests from other departments, while also responding to needs from external agencies. Handles incoming inquiries from guests regarding Security matters and service issues, providing accurate information and timely message delivery. Remains well-versed in departmental Policies and Procedures, the Emergency Action Plan, Crisis Communication Plan, and the standard operating procedures of Local Law Enforcement and Emergency Medical Services relevant to the Casino. Informs the Shift Manager or relevant supervisors of any significant conditions as necessary. Fosters positive relations with guests and employees through prompt, courteous, and efficient service. Demonstrates knowledge of emergency systems, including power and radio systems, and is prepared to respond appropriately to alerts from these systems. Conducts ongoing monitoring of all designated areas to identify potential security and safety risks, reporting findings to the appropriate parties for resolution. Utilizes necessary equipment to document and report any illegal, suspicious, or unusual activities occurring on the property. Maintains an understanding of Gaming Commission regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the property. Supports colleagues and management in safeguarding assets within their respective departments. Collaborates with the Surveillance Department when further investigation is warranted. Facilitates departmental communication by participating in regular meetings. Responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. Offers suggestions for potential improvements in policies and procedures with a focus on safety, security, and asset protection.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

A Level 2 Gaming License is required for this position.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and relevant dispatch software is necessary. Strong communication and typing skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including the use of surveillance and emergency equipment. Candidates must be capable of working independently and delegating tasks to other Security Officers as needed, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Familiarity with closed-circuit television systems is advantageous. Exceptional observational and communication skills are a must.

LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating manuals. Analytical skills are necessary for summarizing data and resolving administrative issues. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence is required.

REASONING ABILITY:

Candidates must apply common sense reasoning to various situations and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands of this role require regular sitting, use of hands for operating equipment, and effective communication. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
