Your Role and Responsibilities.
As a Claims Consultant, your key responsibilities will include:
Claims Oversight:
- Actively manage claims from the initial report through to resolution, ensuring effective communication with clients and internal teams regarding claim status.
- Minimize client claim exposures through strategic claims management.
- Negotiate favorable outcomes with adjusters on behalf of clients.
- Maintain accurate data within the agency management system.
- Organize and engage in claim review meetings and presentations as necessary.
Claims Expertise Development:
- Establish yourself as a trusted claims expert within the industry, sharing knowledge and insights on claims management and its implications for risk management.
- Pursue ongoing education and stay informed about emerging trends in coverage and claims management.
- Provide strategic advice on coverage and claims to clients and internal teams.
- Facilitate training sessions for team members and clients on claims handling and case studies.
Claims Analysis and Trends:
- Monitor and analyze claims activity, ensuring agency teams are aware of any coverage or carrier issues.
- Compile and present claims-related data, including loss statistics and cost reduction opportunities, to support the development of action plans for managing clients' total cost of risk.
- Advise internal marketing, sales, and service teams on trending coverage issues to enhance client engagement and understanding of available risk management solutions.
Building Carrier Relationships:
- Develop strong partnerships with adjusters and claims team members to align client needs with carrier objectives.
- Communicate effectively with carriers to resolve issues promptly.
Your Qualifications.
We are eager to connect with candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 7-10 years of claims experience is preferred.
- Experience with multi-line carriers or brokerage claims is required.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is necessary.
- Professional designations are advantageous.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to influence and negotiate effectively with all stakeholders.
- A commitment to fostering positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, and management.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in using record systems, web-based tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.

- Possession of a Property & Casualty License or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
