The Commercial Insurance Sales Specialist is an external sales role focused on generating new business revenue from commercial clients through diverse channels. This position not only involves cross-selling clients from various internal departments but also aims to secure additional successes through self-generated referrals, influential networks, and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet annual new business sales objectives
  • Generate leads through surety bonds
  • Foster collaboration and pursue cross-selling opportunities with other departments to achieve revenue growth
  • Produce a robust volume of new business leads and initial appointment activities
  • Identify and navigate sales challenges specific to each prospect
  • Communicate our solutions effectively to clients unfamiliar with insurance
  • Leverage CRM tools to enhance the sales process, ensuring timely and accurate input of information regarding appointments and follow-ups
  • Design and implement sales and marketing strategies to strengthen the company's market position
  • Collaborate effectively with the account management team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in sectors such as Construction, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Hospitality, or a Generalist portfolio
  • Proven track record of financial success
  • A personable, proactive, and organized individual driven to meet personal sales targets
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up capabilities
  • Excellent listening skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also functioning independently
  • Capability to engage with senior management and maintain a professional executive presence
  • A college degree and current insurance licensing are preferred
