This technology holds promise for developing groundbreaking therapies applicable to numerous disease areas, such as oncology, autoimmune conditions, fibrosis, and monogenic blood disorders.

Role Summary
We are looking for a Research Associate I - II to engage in the production and purification of mRNA. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing in vitro transcribed (IVT) mRNA production, mRNA purification, and conducting analytical characterization under appropriate guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the production and purification of in vitro transcribed (IVT) mRNA.
  • Execute hands-on laboratory experiments utilizing filtration, chromatography, TFF, and other process development tools.
  • Perform quality control assessments of mRNA products, including gel electrophoresis, Dot blot, UV analysis, etc.
  • Innovate new methodologies for mRNA optimization and large-scale production under supervision.
  • Maintain comprehensive lab notebooks and electronic documentation.
  • Carry out routine technical tasks such as managing laboratory inventory, preparing stock reagents, and general laboratory upkeep.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biological Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Fundamental understanding and application of biologics and/or nucleic acid process development and scaling principles.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capable of working independently, adhering to established guidelines, and collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Proficient in drafting routine reports and maintaining accurate records of laboratory activities.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities for skill enhancement and professional growth.
  • Able to grasp complex tasks with general instructions.
  • Demonstrated capability to follow detailed protocols in a research laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is required.
