Role Summary
We are in search of a Research Associate I - II specializing in mRNA production and purification. The selected candidate will engage in the production of in vitro transcribed (IVT) mRNA, its purification, and analytical characterization, all under suitable supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the production and purification processes for in vitro transcribed (IVT) mRNA.
  • Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments utilizing filtration, chromatography, tangential flow filtration (TFF), and other relevant process development equipment.
  • Perform quality control assessments of mRNA products, including techniques such as gel electrophoresis, dot blotting, and UV analysis.
  • Innovate and refine techniques for mRNA optimization and large-scale production under guidance.
  • Maintain comprehensive lab notebooks and electronic documentation.
  • Handle routine technical tasks, including laboratory inventory management, preparation of stock reagents, and general laboratory upkeep.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biological Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of biologics and/or nucleic acid process development and scaling principles.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously, adhere to established guidelines, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proficient in drafting routine reports and maintaining accurate records of laboratory activities.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities for skill enhancement and professional growth.
  • Capable of learning complex tasks with general instructions.
  • Able to leverage experience to adopt a variety of new techniques.
  • Demonstrated capacity to follow detailed protocols in a research laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is essential.
