Amylu Foods, a nearly century-old Chicago-based producer of premium sausages, is recognized as a trailblazer in the chicken sausage market. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, utilizing fresh and distinctive ingredients that are visible in our products. As a leader in our industry, we focus on meticulous manufacturing processes, creating small-batch, hand-crafted items, and we continuously innovate with a dynamic pipeline of new product developments. Our recent expansion includes exciting new lines featuring organic and antibiotic-free meats, fresh vegetables, natural cheeses, and unique spice blends.

We are in search of a seasoned Head of Social Media Strategy to cultivate, manage, and enhance our brand's presence across various social platforms. In this role, you will be tasked with implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that not only engages our audience but also builds a vibrant community around our brand and products. You will oversee the daily operations of a social media team, responsible for planning, scheduling, posting, analyzing, and reporting on all social media content. We are looking for individuals who can elevate Amylu Foods' social media presence through innovative digital strategies. Your passion for social media will drive you to create bold and creative concepts that connect food trends, popular culture, and audience behaviors with our brand identity. This role will also involve developing an internal social media team as we expand our reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily execution of our social media strategy, including scheduling, posting, and community management across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and LinkedIn, while also exploring emerging social channels to enhance our brand visibility.
  • Develop and manage a content calendar to ensure optimized content delivery tailored to each platform.
  • Act as the community manager for all social media channels, fostering positive brand interactions and addressing customer inquiries in line with our consumer care protocols.
  • Continuously refine the social media strategy to align with overarching marketing initiatives, business objectives, and departmental KPIs.
  • Manage relationships with social media agencies for content creation, paid advertising, and other collaborative efforts.
  • Work closely with external content creators to produce high-quality social media content, including images, videos, cinemagraphs, GIFs, and Instagram Stories.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, new platform features, and best practices, providing actionable insights and recommendations regularly.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our brand voice and establish strong connections with our target audience.
  • Oversee influencer marketing initiatives, including partner selection, content development, and performance analysis.
  • Negotiate and review influencer contracts and deliverables effectively.
  • Manage monthly product seeding and gifting initiatives while building a brand ambassador program.
  • Coordinate monthly co-branded partnership efforts.
  • Actively participate in the broader marketing team, representing the voice of our online community and providing ad-hoc marketing communications support as needed.
  • Deliver comprehensive monthly analytics reports to the VP of Marketing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge and enthusiasm for the evolving social media landscape, including platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Strong proficiency in social analytics and listening tools.
  • Experience in developing and managing influencer programs.
  • Familiarity with advertising APIs on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Ability to craft creative briefs and provide constructive feedback to creative teams.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with a knack for concise and impactful brand messaging.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to develop and present quantitative insights to management.
  • A quick learner, logical thinker, and collaborative team player.
  • A desire to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, adapting to ambitious project timelines.
  • A commitment to developing and leading a social media team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management within the CPG or food brand sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Proficiency in social analytics and reporting tools.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing social trends.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in crafting and executing both organic and paid social media strategies.

  • Experience in photography and videography.
