Position Summary:
We are seeking a Media Planning Director to join our Carat team, focusing on one of our agency's newest clients. This role requires an in-office presence in our Chicago location 1-2 days a week for collaboration with planning teams and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of various media channels, with significant experience in coordinating across multiple disciplines, particularly in TV, CTV, Social, and Digital.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' experience in executing full-funnel media awareness campaigns.
- Collaborate with creative agencies to ensure alignment on creative assets and account requirements.
- Work alongside multi-channel teams to develop modern, strategic, and integrated media plans across diverse channels including TV, CTV, Video, Social, Programmatic, and Audio.
- Engage directly with clients, addressing inquiries and discussing media strategies.
- Assess timelines and manage daily deliverables effectively.
- Analyze competitive landscapes, generate reports using agency tools, and compile actionable insights.
- Oversee a substantial media budget and flowchart management.
- Guide media channel selection and proactively identify new opportunities.
- Identify and establish digital partnerships.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a large agency environment.
- At least 5 years of media planning and buying experience within the TV, CTV, Social, and digital sectors.
- Proficiency with tools such as Media Ocean, DDS, Nielsen Ad Intel, Pathmatics, Media Tools, Web Analytics, Ad Servers, and Media Research tools.
- Experience leading multiple levels of direct reports in a large agency setting for at least 3 years.
- Knowledge of planning sponsorship campaigns on a national scale.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working with budgets and a solid understanding of mathematical concepts.
Additional Information:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,000, based on various factors including relevant experience and skills. A comprehensive benefits package is available, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
