Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Financial Review Specialist II. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial assessments related to loan applications.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations of financial statements and loan presentations to verify their precision and adherence to established banking standards.
  • Performing meticulous reviews of loan submissions prepared by credit analysts across various sectors, including specialty and community lending.
  • Collaborating with the credit review manager to mentor and train new team members.
Essential Functions

The primary duties include:

  • Identifying discrepancies, errors, and incomplete analyses.
  • Assessing the validity of assumptions and adjustments made by underwriters in forecasting future cash flows, particularly for franchise operations.
  • Reviewing construction budgets, rental income projections, property valuations, and profitability assessments for real estate transactions.
  • Evaluating whether risk factors are sufficiently mitigated by proposed solutions.
  • Providing accurate analyses and constructive feedback to enhance loan presentations.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal banking policies and procedures.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on quantitative data.
  • 0-3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the capability to identify inconsistencies in data.
  • A solid understanding of financial statements, ratios, and core financial principles.
