Key Responsibilities

The Linear Generator's electrical control systems are pivotal to its performance and efficiency. As a vital member of our engineering team, you will:

  • Design and develop low-voltage electrical systems (< 60V) that enhance the functionality and features of the Linear Generator.
  • Conduct validation and qualification of your electrical hardware and PCBA designs.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware challenges encountered in various environments.
  • Collaborate with reliability engineers to enhance the dependability of electrical hardware.
  • Work alongside the new product introduction (NPI) team and external partners to optimize designs for manufacturability and testability.
  • Engage with high voltage systems and teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Lead technical evaluations for design approvals from a diverse audience.
  • Define requirements for cable design and embedded/firmware support.
  • Expand your knowledge of intricate design concepts while collaborating with a talented team.

This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence for testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing support as necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in developing and troubleshooting electrical hardware designs.
  • A collaborative mindset with proven communication skills across various teams.
  • Experience in PCBA schematic capture and/or PCB design.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience throughout the entire hardware development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to manufacturing support.
  • Background in a startup or fast-paced development environment.
  • Familiarity with Altium PCBA Design Tools.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities using tools such as Jira or Microsoft Project.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
