The Role

As the Vice President of Scientific Innovation at Myrobalan Therapeutics, reporting directly to the CEO, you will spearhead our scientific research and development initiatives, shaping the pipeline of novel CNS therapies. This position requires overseeing the company's Neuroscience, CMC, and MedChem divisions, necessitating a unique combination of scientific acumen, leadership capabilities, and strategic foresight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scientific Leadership: Provide strategic direction to enhance discovery and preclinical development, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Pipeline Advancement: Identify and prioritize innovative therapeutic targets for neurorestorative solutions.
  • Innovation Drive: Foster innovative approaches grounded in scientific evidence and market intelligence.
  • Research Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive research strategy for targeted therapeutic areas.
  • Clinical Development: Offer insights on clinical development strategies and biomarker identification.
  • Quality Standards: Establish and uphold rigorous product quality benchmarks.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate strategic collaborations to facilitate knowledge sharing and innovation.
  • Intellectual Property Management: Identify and safeguard valuable intellectual property assets through patent applications.
  • Team Development: Recruit and mentor a high-performing scientific workforce.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Ensure cohesive alignment of scientific initiatives across various teams.
Qualifications
  • PhD or equivalent in biomedical sciences, neurology, or a related discipline; MD/PhD preferred.
  • Proven experience in biotechnology, particularly in drug discovery and neurorestorative therapies.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNS disorders such as ALS, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's.
  • Prior experience in small to mid-sized biotech enterprises.
  • Strong grasp of preclinical and clinical development processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead scientific teams and inspire innovation.
  • Exceptional communication skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
