Position Summary:
The Regional Vice President of Sales is a pivotal role within our Sales & Marketing team, reporting directly to the Area Vice President of Sales. This position is responsible for overseeing, mentoring, and developing a team of sales directors focused on major market accounts. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proven history of nurturing talent, and extensive experience in B2B sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for the designated region.
- Lead a team of 7-8 sales directors to optimize revenue generation.
- Monitor regional expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Provide guidance to sales directors on their monthly sales targets and weekly activity plans.
- Report on team sales performance on a weekly basis, assessing progress against monthly and quarterly goals.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with each sales director to discuss objectives and performance.
- Evaluate team performance to ensure sales targets are met at both the Director and Account Executive levels.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new sales directors to maintain optimal staffing levels.
- Address customer complaints effectively, establishing a clear escalation process.
- Contribute to strategic planning by providing regional sales insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in sales management.
- 2-3 years of experience in major market account payroll solutions.
- Demonstrated success in leading a motivated and results-driven sales team.
- Experience with payroll, HR, and time management solutions in large organizations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
- Willingness to travel and work in a remote environment.
