Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, Business Development and Growth to lead our business development activities within the Airborne Combat Systems sector of the Space and Airborne Systems Segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and executing business strategies, and leading customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine business cases to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Manage the capture gating process, including chairing gate conferences for executive leadership.
  • Develop and lead capture activities, including product and services capture plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, decision makers, and acquisition officials.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies for generating new customers, primarily in international fighter aircraft markets.
  • Form relationships with new customers and industry partners to pave the way for Harris Geospatial Solutions capability insertion in new markets.
  • Develop and maintain competitive intelligence and competitive landscape understanding to inform business development and capture efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral briefs to customers and senior executives.
  • Participate in IRAD process to ensure alignment of investment with business goals.
  • Manage CRM database for cross-segment pursuits.
  • Develop strategic plans to advance business area objectives and promote revenue and profitability.
  • Provide warfighter perspective and operational briefings from OA and M&S SME material.
  • Lead CONOPS development and briefings in support of programs.
  • Evaluate new technologies while staying current on industry trends through a warfighter perspective.
  • Provide warfighter perspective internally and externally to fulfill customer expectations, increase program success, capture new programs, and expand business pipeline.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience in tactical aviation.
  • CONOPS development.
  • Tactical aircraft weapons SME.
  • Tactical aircraft mission employment SME.
  • USN, USMC or USAF Weapons School Graduate.
  • Threat aircraft, IADs, and tactics SME.
  • Ability to generate and deliver articulate and persuasive briefs.
  • Aptitude to clearly communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prior leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Experience growing business.
  • Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation).
  • EW combat systems experience and mission planning expertise in the electromagnetic spectrum at the operational level.
  • Comfortable and skilled interacting with senior USG officials, foreign defense officials, and Harris Geospatial Solutions executives.
  • Existing DoD Secret clearance with current 5 year update.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS and SCI any additional clearances as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
