Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Program Staff to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging lessons and activities for students from different age groups, extending their learning beyond the regular school day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be a positive role model for school-aged youth and create a safe, fun, educational, and recreational environment for students after school.
  • Develop and implement engaging lessons and activities that cater to different age groups and interests.
  • Facilitate a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages social, physical, and intellectual growth among students.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to plan and implement engaging activities and programs.
  • Strong patience and ability to manage a group of children, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Understanding of child development and educational principles to provide suitable learning experiences and address individual needs.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate children to participate in activities, promoting social, physical, and intellectual growth.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (training will be provided if needed), along with the physical fitness to engage in activities with children.
  • Problem-solving skills to address any issues or conflicts that may arise between students.
  • Flexibility to adapt plans as needed based on the dynamics of the group or unexpected situations.
  • Previous childcare experience preferred.
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older and must be available 5 days/week (Monday-Friday).

We offer a competitive salary of $17.25 per hour and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

As a member of our team, you will receive training in areas of state licensing requirements, child health and safety, child development, and first aid and CPR. You will also receive mentorship from a qualified site supervisor.
