Job Title: Director, Supply Chain

At Damascus Bakeries / Brooklyn Bred, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Supply Chain to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and growing our Supply Chain Department, which is empowered to Plan, Source, Inventory, and Deliver.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Supply Chain Department, working closely with all departments to drive business growth and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Practices to protect and improve company economics.
  • Coach and develop the staff within the Supply Chain Department, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Oversee the Demand Planning of all production, ensuring accurate forecasting and inventory management.
  • Source and order all ingredients and materials required for production, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Manage the Materials Management, Warehousing, and Inventory of all incoming ingredients and materials, as well as outgoing finished products.
  • Oversee the Logistics and Transportation of finished goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Understand and utilize our SAP-based "Batch Master" ERP Program to drive business efficiency and improve decision-making.
  • Provide detailed and analytical weekly forecasts and metrics reporting to Operations, Finance, and Ownership.
