Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Flexibility to work beyond standard hours may be required during emergencies.

Position Summary

Aldevra, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to collaborate with the Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist and the Radiology Department. The Medical Physicist plays a pivotal role in the radiology department, focusing on patient care, education, and research. Key responsibilities include ensuring quality and safety in imaging, conducting acceptance testing, and providing dose estimations for patients. Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care (80%):

  • Serve as a Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist (CTMP), overseeing all physics and dosimetry operations for radiation oncology services.
  • Ensure the quality management of radiation oncology services, developing and implementing quality management policies, and conducting regular quality assurance reports.
  • Manage equipment-related quality assurance, conduct shielding surveys, and report adverse events to the National Health Physics Program (NHPP).

Medical Physics Support:

  • Optimize radiation treatment plans to ensure accurate dose delivery while prioritizing patient and staff safety.
  • Perform calculations, conduct systematic chart reviews, and maintain precise records of equipment specifications.
  • Oversee dosimetry, calibrate treatment equipment, and assist with brachytherapy procedures.

Administrative Duties (20%):

  • Participate in service staff meetings and ensure timely reporting of patient safety incidents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Board Certified in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics by the ABR or certified by the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in Radiation Oncology Physics.
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Medical Physics or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe Acrobat applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
