About the Role

The University of Chicago is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Business Development to join its Executive Education team. This is a critical role that will play a key part in driving the growth and success of the University's business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand the University's Executive Education offerings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, alumni, and faculty members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver customized programs that meet the needs of clients.
  • Manage and analyze financial performance, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Lead and coach internal and external program delivery staff on client and faculty engagement, program design, account management, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain program budgets, analyze financial performance, and implement corrective action when necessary.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Learning and Development, custom program design, faculty engagement, and client account management.
  • Strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor and executive presence and credibility to engage senior-level and C-suite clients globally.
Working Conditions
  • This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
  • Work flexible hours according to demands of business.
