Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at Midwest Foods. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion through strategic planning, relationship-building, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic growth plan to drive business expansion and revenue growth.
  • Cultivate new business opportunities and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Retention of clients with ongoing purchases and increase customer penetration through a diverse group of clients.
  • Achieve competitive and financially sound business results through effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Drive a proactive approach to client engagement through solution-oriented practices and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Learn and comprehend Midwest Foods' Edible Cuts' suite of products and services.
  • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Facilitate contracts, agreements, RFPs, RFIs, and bids to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Creation and development of company programs, including negotiation, forecasting, and terms of service.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including business reviews with necessary parties to assure customer satisfaction, client retention, and purchasing expansion.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Support outside sales team for program education and expansion within their territory.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years of related professional experience in sales in manufactured goods or similar industry, specifically focused on major food processing, retailers with 10 or more locations, and foodservice grab and go.
  • Contract negotiations and P&L experience a plus.
  • Develop and deliver presentations that will attract profitable sales.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expert in planning and implementing sales strategy.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience with CRMs (e.g., Hubspot, SalesForce, Zoho, etc.).
  • Tech-savvy and up-to-date with current marketing strategies utilizing social media outlets and trends.

Compensation:

Salary plus commission/bonuses. Time of hire negotiated base salary that is experience-based.
