Position Overview

We are in search of a skilled assembly technician who can proficiently assemble components and materials in line with specifications and directives. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to comprehend both written and verbal instructions, as well as interpret drawings and work guidelines. The role involves working with metal cladding, insulation, and steel parts. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in carpentry, material handling, and mechanical assembly while ensuring a safe work environment through effective organization and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Constructing skeleton and square frames
  • Applying metal and insulation sheeting
  • Handling materials, including operating necessary equipment
  • Proficiently using all non-specialized shop equipment, hand tools, and power tools
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned
Essential Requirements
  • Experience in construction or manufacturing environments
  • Background in carpentry roles
  • Competence in a trade with the ability to apply skills across various tasks
  • Ability to select appropriate tools and ensure their proper use
  • Skillful operation of non-specialized shop machinery
  • Contributing to the development of processes for consistent task execution
Qualifications
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience in roofing or carpentry
  • Experience in metal building and construction installation is advantageous
  • High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational training
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical requirements outlined here represent the demands that must be met by an employee to effectively perform the essential functions of this position. Regular activities include a full range of mobility in both upper and lower body, reaching overhead, and working in various positions such as stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting. The employee must be capable of handling, feeling, or manipulating objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; and maintaining balance for extended periods. Lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks is necessary, with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors is expected. This role requires physical activity involving somewhat strenuous daily tasks in a primarily production-focused environment.

Compensation

Hourly wage of $34.00, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
