Position Overview

We are in search of a Manufacturing Assembly Technician. The ideal candidate will efficiently and accurately assemble components and materials according to specified plans and directives. The role requires the ability to comprehend both written and verbal instructions, as well as the capability to interpret drawings and work guidelines. The technician will engage with metal cladding, insulation, and steel parts, demonstrating proficiency in carpentry, material handling, and mechanical assembly while ensuring a safe work environment through effective organization and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Constructing skeleton and square frames
  • Applying metal and insulation sheeting
  • Handling materials, including operating necessary equipment
  • Utilizing all non-specialized shop equipment, as well as hand and power tools
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction or manufacturing settings
  • Background in carpentry
  • Competence in a trade, applying skills across various tasks
  • Ability to select and operate appropriate tools
  • Proficient in using non-specialized shop equipment
  • Contributing to the development of processes for consistent task execution

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years in roofing or carpentry roles
  • Experience with metal building and construction installation
  • High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational training

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The physical demands of this position require full mobility in both upper and lower body, including the ability to reach overhead and work in various positions such as stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting. Candidates must be capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks, with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Exposure to typical shop elements, including noise, dust, fumes, and odors, is expected. This role involves physical activity and somewhat strenuous daily tasks in a primarily production environment.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $34.00, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
