Position Summary

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for crafting and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy for CHNK Behavioral Health. This strategy must effectively engage diverse audiences, including clients, business professionals, community members, government representatives, and donors, to enhance the organization's image and reputation.

Additionally, the role involves the development of a new organizational brand to support ongoing initiatives aligned with a significant capital campaign.

This position collaborates closely with the Chief of Philanthropy and External Relations, the Chief Executive Officer, and other leadership team members.

Key Responsibilities

Approximately 80% of the role involves the following:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to raise awareness of the organization's impact and brand.
  • Collaborate with the Chief of Philanthropy and External Relations to prioritize campaign communications and marketing initiatives.
  • Integrate clinical and business aspects of CHNK with philanthropy and external relations to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with donors and key stakeholders to further the mission of CHNK.
  • Manage public relations efforts, including media outreach and social media engagement, to maximize event coverage and announcements.
  • Participate as a key member of planning committees for annual and special events, overseeing marketing and communications efforts.
  • Ensure prudent fiscal management of marketing resources.

Approximately 20% of the role involves the following:

  • Represent CHNK at community events as appropriate.
  • Manage relationships with external professionals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in marketing and communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in overseeing the design process from concept to execution.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven track record in budget management.
  • Professional demeanor with a proactive work ethic.
  • High level of competence in project and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing strategies, including social media and content marketing.
