Position SummaryThe Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for crafting and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy for CHNK Behavioral Health. This strategy must effectively engage diverse audiences, including clients, business leaders, community members, government representatives, and donors, thereby enhancing CHNK's reputation and visibility within the community.
Additionally, the role will focus on the development of a new organizational brand that aligns with ongoing initiatives and a significant capital campaign. The position requires collaboration with the Chief of Philanthropy and External Relations, the Chief Executive Officer, and other leadership team members.
This role is ideal for a proactive individual who can operate independently while also thriving in a collaborative environment. The ability to manage multiple responsibilities within a small team is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesApproximately 80% of the role involves the following:
- Design and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to raise awareness of the organization's mission, impact, and brand within the community.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief of Philanthropy and External Relations to prioritize campaign communications and marketing initiatives.
- Integrate clinical and business perspectives with philanthropy and external relations to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Actively engage with donors and key stakeholders to foster relationships that support CHNK's mission.
- Manage in-house publicity efforts, extending outreach to media and social platforms to maximize event coverage and announcements.
- Serve as a critical member of planning committees for annual and special events, overseeing marketing and communications efforts.
- Ensure responsible fiscal management of marketing budgets.
Approximately 20% of the role involves the following:
- Represent CHNK at community events as appropriate.
- Maintain relationships with external professionals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five years of experience in marketing and communications.
- Demonstrated experience in managing marketing campaigns.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience overseeing design processes from concept to execution.
- Exceptional copywriting abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven budget management skills.
- Professional demeanor and proactive work ethic.
- High proficiency in project and stakeholder management.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, including social media and content marketing.
