Role Overview

The Internal Sales Support Team is committed to delivering efficient sales assistance to our partnerships, advisors, and wholesalers within the Retirement Division. As a Sales Operations Specialist, you will engage in sales prospecting within designated geographical areas, employing effective sales strategies and localized marketing initiatives aimed at securing appointments for external wholesalers with suitable advisors. The quality of individual and group meetings scheduled by this team plays a crucial role in enhancing overall sales performance across various territories and channels.

This entry-level position within the sales organization focuses on providing essential support services to sales territories, with the goal of boosting wholesaler activity and sales output, thereby allowing wholesalers to concentrate more on client and case development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize appointment strategies leveraging zoning technology to maximize advisor engagement while minimizing travel time for wholesalers.
  • Communicate effectively Protective's mission and value proposition to promote the company, its personnel, and products to advisors.
  • Identify and qualify potential customers, documenting sales prospecting activities in tracking systems.
  • Execute localized marketing campaigns designed to generate appointments for external wholesalers.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and individual performance check-ins.
  • Implement sales techniques to arrange and confirm various types of meetings, including individual, phone, group, and seminars.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of group events, including RSVP lists, venue details, and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with wholesaling teams to understand territory geography for effective scheduling.
  • Analyze and maintain territory Market Metrics data regularly.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments for multiple RVPs while managing territory zones.
  • Handle phone calls and emails related to prospecting efforts and appointment confirmations.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts as they arise.
  • Support follow-up procedures post-wholesaler meetings, including routine correspondence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of advisor data and call notes within the CRM system.
  • Maintain up-to-date prospecting lists through data systems and spreadsheets.
  • Complete material orders in preparation for or as follow-up to various meetings.
