Position Overview

  • Guarantee the provision of superior patient care services
  • Conduct direct patient assessments, including evaluations of muscular, skeletal, neurological, and other physical conditions
  • Facilitate and promote interdisciplinary collaboration in treatment
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient care
  • Uphold professional standards by adhering to quality assurance policies and relevant regulations
  • Implement effective communication with team members, medical staff, and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and high-quality service delivery
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Inform management of departmental issues, requirements, and solutions promptly
  • Design, implement, and assess specific physical therapy treatment plans to support patient recovery and maximize physical potential
  • Educate patients on the appropriate care and use of supports and exercise programs
  • Administer or delegate patient treatments, including modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and hydrotherapy
  • Adhere to proper documentation and reporting protocols
  • Secure necessary prescriptions for each patient treated
  • Collaborate closely with physicians to ensure comprehensive service delivery and quality patient care
  • Assist marketing personnel with facility tours as required
  • Take necessary precautions to safeguard center assets against loss or waste
  • Engage in professional development through participation in center meetings and external educational seminars
  • Communicate with the Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or Case Manager regarding patient progress and compliance
  • Participate in the clinical education of university occupational therapy and/or occupational therapist assistant students
  • Contribute to the evaluation of rehabilitation quality management processes and assist in implementing improvements
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Physical Therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy) from an accredited institution
  • Active and unrestricted professional license
  • Preferred experience in orthopedic outpatient settings
