Position Overview

As a Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include overseeing patient evaluations and aiding them in enhancing fundamental motor skills and cognitive functions. You will also assist patients in adapting to permanent functional impairments by instructing them on how to perform daily tasks effectively in their living and working environments, adhering to Concentra Medical Centers' Injury Process Management and rehabilitation philosophy.

  • Deliver high-quality patient care services
  • Conduct direct patient assessments, including evaluations of muscular, skeletal, neurological, and other physical conditions
  • Encourage collaborative treatment approaches among multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient care
  • Uphold professional standards through adherence to quality assurance policies and applicable regulations
  • Facilitate effective communication with staff, medical professionals, and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and optimal patient care
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Inform management of departmental issues and potential solutions promptly
  • Design and implement specific physical therapy treatment plans to aid patient recovery and maximize physical potential
  • Educate patients on the proper use of support devices and exercise regimens
  • Administer or delegate patient treatments, including modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and hydrotherapy
  • Follow established documentation and reporting protocols
  • Secure necessary prescriptions for patient treatments
  • Collaborate closely with physicians to ensure comprehensive service delivery and quality patient care
  • Assist marketing personnel with facility tours as needed
  • Take necessary precautions to safeguard center assets and property against loss or waste
  • Engage in professional development through attendance at meetings and educational seminars
  • Communicate with the Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or Case Manager regarding patient progress and compliance
  • Participate in the clinical education of university occupational therapy students
  • Contribute to evaluating the effectiveness of rehabilitation quality management processes and assist in developing improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulations set by relevant licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Physical Therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy) from an accredited institution
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice
  • Preferred experience in orthopedic outpatient settings
