Your Role:

In this crucial leadership position, you will be instrumental in evolving our engineering culture from competent to exceptional. You will mentor and inspire our engineering leads, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the strategic planning process at the company level and establish objectives for the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to create both long-term and short-term project roadmaps.
  • Enhance productivity to support business innovation while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Provide transparency regarding the development process and address challenges proactively.
  • Attract and nurture top-tier engineering talent who are passionate about our mission.
  • Balance resource allocation across our key development hubs while incorporating remote talent effectively.
  • Identify potential challenges in our growth trajectory and devise appropriate solutions.
  • Offer strategic insights on our data infrastructure to enhance customer experiences.
  • Drive technological advancements to optimize our operational processes.
  • Lead the transition from legacy systems to modern technology stacks.
  • Design a scalable architecture capable of managing high volumes of requests.
  • Champion research and development initiatives to keep Borderless Capital at the forefront of fintech innovation.
  • Implement comprehensive testing protocols to ensure high-quality software releases.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in software development and engineering leadership.
  • Proven success in scaling engineering teams significantly.
  • Experience in a startup environment, demonstrating the ability to inspire calm during challenges.
  • Strong background in financial technology or complex operational businesses.
  • Experience leading distributed teams, particularly in diverse geographical locations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across various teams.
