Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient service and support in a fast-paced medical office environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients and responds to phone calls, taking messages and providing necessary information while documenting all interactions accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, diagnostic tests, referrals, and consultations.
  • Registers patients, confirming and updating demographic data on the registration system, and follows procedures for identifying patients.
  • Obtains copies of insurance cards, forms of ID, and signatures on required forms, verifying information to determine insurance coordination of benefits and pre-certification/prior-authorization.
  • Collects patient payments, provides accurate receipts, and posts payments in the system, reconciling receipts with cash collected and completing required balancing forms.
  • Maintains department and individual work queues and reports as required.
  • Prepares medical records for patient appointments by compiling information from various sources, including authorizations and non-Epic documentation.
Requirements
  • One year of customer service experience involving interactions with customers in person and by phone.
  • Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills and data entry.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Experience using Epic software (preferred).
Work Environment

This role is based in the Candelas Clinic, Arvada, Colorado, and requires a 40-hour workweek with a competitive hourly rate of $23.69. Intermountain Health offers a comprehensive benefits package and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
