Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring seamless patient interactions, from billing and follow-up to resolving issues that delay or prevent payment of patient accounts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering phone calls, taking messages, and returning calls in a timely manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments, register patients, and verify demographic data to ensure accurate billing and insurance coordination.
  • Collect patient payments, post payments in the system, and reconcile receipts to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain department and individual work queues, reporting as required to ensure efficient operations.
  • Prepare medical records for patient appointments, scanning documents as needed to ensure accurate and complete records.
Requirements
  • One year of customer service experience, with a focus on interacting with customers in person and by phone.
  • Professional manner, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and basic computer skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include bilingual English and Spanish, as well as experience using Epic software.
