Our data strategy focuses on improving the education-to-workforce data ecosystem, equipping practitioners and policymakers with the insights necessary to address critical questions regarding student progress and implement evidence-based reforms that enhance outcomes, particularly for marginalized students.
Your Responsibilities
As a vital member of the Strategy, Planning & Management (SPM) team, the Senior Officer will oversee the strategic and operational functions of the team, including strategic planning, annual budgeting, investment management, business analysis, and coordination of strategies across the organization. This role requires effective engagement at all organizational levels and productive collaboration with peers, leaders, and external partners while exercising sound judgment. The Senior Officer will guide the team in rigorously pursuing racial and socio-economic equity.
Key Duties
- Lead the development and oversight of strategic planning, investment processes, and operational management, including annual planning and budget forecasting.
- Provide critical support to the Deputy Director and program leadership, fostering transparent and challenging partnerships to maximize investment impact.
- Assist program leadership in translating strategic goals into coherent investment plans and ensure alignment with desired outcomes.
- Monitor grant and contract pipelines to manage budgets and produce accurate forecasts, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Articulate strategy narratives, including reviews and execution plans aligned with the theory of action.
- Facilitate process improvements to enhance staff productivity and address inefficiencies.
- Maintain connections with teams across the organization to maximize impact and ensure alignment with operational initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison between program teams and business partners regarding financial processes and reporting.
- Design and manage special projects to support team operations and programmatic investments.
- Promote inclusive practices to foster a work environment where all employees can excel.

- Experience in creating analytical models and tools to inform strategic decisions.
- Financial acumen, including budget development and operational management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of distilling complex information for diverse audiences.
- A Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience is required; an MBA or advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
