  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related discipline is required. An MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field, ideally within the logistics or port sectors.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for interpreting complex data and formulating strategic recommendations.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficient in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, with a solid grasp of financial principles and valuation methods.
  • Market Insight: Expertise in conducting market research, competitive assessments, and industry benchmarking.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong business insight and strategic foresight, capable of identifying growth prospects, evaluating risks, and crafting actionable strategies.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to present intricate ideas and recommendations to varied audiences.
  • Collaboration: A cooperative approach and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, fostering relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data analysis tools and software, including Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to computer screens.
  • Moderate noise levels in the work environment.

We are in search of a strategic and analytical professional to join our Business Development team as the Corporate Strategy Lead. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's strategic initiatives and long-term vision. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, performing analyses, and providing actionable recommendations to support critical business decisions and foster growth. This role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to identify opportunities, assess market trends, and develop strategies that enhance our competitive edge in the marine terminal and rail yard operations.

  • Assist the Vice President of Strategy in developing, executing, and managing the company's strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and growth objectives.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry dynamics, delivering insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support the formulation of business strategies, including market entry, diversification, and expansion plans, based on comprehensive analysis and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, perform financial modeling, and conduct feasibility studies to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of existing business units and initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and recommending corrective measures.
  • Conduct benchmarking exercises and industry analyses to identify best practices and emerging trends, providing strategic insights to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Prepare and present reports, presentations, and business cases to senior leadership, effectively communicating complex concepts and recommendations.
  • Support the development and implementation of an EBITDA improvement plan and long-term strategic vision, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure successful execution.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success and impact of strategic initiatives, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may influence the company's strategic direction, recommending appropriate actions.
