The Client Relationship Associate plays a pivotal role in collaborating with Relationship Managers to drive sales and service excellence while executing analytical tasks as required. A successful candidate will engage with Relationship Managers to pinpoint and develop tailored client solutions. The Associate possesses a foundational understanding of financial and risk analysis, coupled with basic sales and business development skills. Strong critical thinking abilities are essential for navigating conflict management across various Relationship Managers and fostering robust relationships.
Accountability for risk management is paramount, which involves openly sharing insights, raising concerns, and adhering to established policies and procedures. The Associate is committed to upholding the highest standards for both customers and colleagues, ensuring that their actions contribute to a positive customer experience. Operating within the Bank's risk framework, the Associate consistently identifies, assesses, manages, monitors, and reports on various types of risks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers in sales and service functions, executing analytical tasks as necessary.
- Assist in identifying and qualifying potential clients alongside Relationship Managers or RM Team Leads.
- Conduct thorough industry research.
- Create and maintain detailed prospect profiles, including updates in the CRM system.
- Develop client presentations.
- Work alongside Relationship Managers to devise client solutions.
- Gather and input essential KYC due diligence information for prospects.
- Perform initial pricing analysis and generate relationship pricing models.
- Draft preliminary deal screens and opportunity memorandums.
- Participate in client presentations at the request of Relationship Managers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in commercial banking, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of financial and risk analysis.
- Familiarity with the US economy and regulatory environment.
- Introductory sales and business development skills.
- Experience with commercial lending credit policies and guidelines is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of banking systems such as B2B, CCAS, AFS, RIMS, CHQ, Loan Document Preparation Systems, or similar is preferred but not required.
- Understanding of local and regional market dynamics is beneficial but not essential.
- Proven strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in face-to-face negotiations and group presentations.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Standard office setting with minimal exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations.
- Limited travel may be required.
