The Client Relationship Associate plays a crucial role in collaborating with Relationship Managers in both sales and service capacities, while also undertaking analytical responsibilities as required. A successful candidate will partner with Relationship Managers to pinpoint and develop tailored client solutions. The Associate is expected to possess knowledge in financial and risk assessment, alongside foundational skills in sales and business development. Strong critical thinking abilities are essential for navigating conflict management among various Relationship Managers and fostering productive relationships.

Accountability for risk management is paramount; this includes openly sharing insights, raising concerns, and adhering to established policies and procedures. The Associate is committed to acting in the best interest of clients and colleagues, ensuring that their actions contribute to a positive customer experience. Within the framework of the Bank's risk appetite, the Associate will achieve results by consistently identifying, evaluating, managing, monitoring, and reporting on various types of risks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers in sales and service, executing analytical tasks as necessary.
  • Assist in identifying and qualifying potential clients alongside Relationship Managers or RM Team Leads.
  • Conduct comprehensive industry research.
  • Create and maintain detailed prospect profiles, including updates in CRM systems.
  • Develop client presentations.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers to identify effective client solutions.
  • Gather and input necessary KYC due diligence information for prospects.
  • Perform initial pricing analysis and create relationship pricing models.
  • Draft preliminary deal screens and opportunity memorandums.
  • Participate in client presentations as requested by Relationship Managers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in commercial banking, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of financial and risk analysis.
  • Familiarity with the US economy and regulatory environment.
  • Introductory sales and business development skills.
  • Experience with commercial lending credit policies and guidelines is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of banking systems such as B2B, CCAS, AFS, RIMS, CHQ, Loan Document Preparation Systems, or similar is preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding of local and regional market dynamics is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in face-to-face negotiations and group presentations.
  • Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Standard office setting with minimal exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations.
  • Limited travel requirements.
