Under general supervision, the Senior Office Assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating office functions, managing clerical tasks, and executing more intricate responsibilities. This position requires the ability to independently draft correspondence, address complaints and inquiries, and engage with the public to resolve issues effectively. Proficiency in word processing and a typing speed of fifty (50) W.P.M. is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Composes and types reports, letters, checks, requisitions, demands, and warrants;
- Manages incoming calls and responds appropriately;
- Organizes and files correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports efficiently;
- Handles cash transactions, issues receipts, and maintains accurate records;
- Performs mathematical calculations as required;
- Assists in the coordination of community events;
- Processes various applications, permits, licenses, and other documentation;
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in office procedures, computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Excellent organizational skills and clerical aptitude;
- Ability to deliver outstanding customer service and foster effective relationships;
- Education and Experience: Equivalent to high school graduation with coursework in office practices and relevant clerical experience. A typing speed of 50 WPM is required.
Licenses/Certificates: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
