Job Overview

Position Title: Senior Human Resources Administrator (401k Management)

Compensation: $33 - $35 per hour (W2)

Work Arrangement: Remote (preferred candidates located in the Northeast)

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime as required

Contract Length: 6 months
Potential for Extension or Conversion: To be determined

Key Responsibilities

• Benefits Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of employee benefits programs.
- Facilitate the annual benefits enrollment process, including the creation of materials and communication with staff.
- Ensure precise and timely processing of benefits enrollments, modifications, and terminations through our third-party system.
- Collaborate with benefits vendors and third-party administrators to address employee concerns and guarantee service quality.

• Data Management and Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on benefits usage, expenses, and trends for management analysis.
- Assist in compiling benefits-related metrics for compliance and audit purposes.
- Support the preparation of compliance documentation, including non-discrimination testing for the 401(k) plan.

• Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in benefits and 401k management or a similar HR function.

Essential Qualifications:
- Manage renewals and marketing efforts in conjunction with our broker.
- Engage in benefits-related initiatives, such as the rollout of new benefits programs or system enhancements.
- Proficient in benefits data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledgeable about federal and state regulations governing employee benefits.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP) and benefits administration software.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Address employee inquiries regarding plans, eligibility, and claims processes.
- Provide support to employees and assist with issue resolution.
- Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and exit interviews to ensure employees are well-informed about their benefits and 401k options.

• Compliance and Record Keeping:
- Ensure that benefits and 401k programs adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA.
- Maintain accurate and current records of employee benefits, plan documents, and compliance reports.
- Assist with audits and the preparation of necessary documentation for compliance purposes.
