Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide support for HR functions, including payroll, timecard enforcement, and personnel file maintenance, while partnering with the Area HR Manager on employee relations and staffing objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process various reports and focus on administrative tasks associated with HR reporting, policy, and procedure.
  • Act as a liaison for employee relations questions and concerns, leaves of absence, paid time off, workers' compensation, and other HR-related matters.
  • Assist with interviews, investigations, disciplinary actions, and provide HR support at the store level.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups, including store managers, human resources, training, and payroll.
  • Provide training for Human Resources Associates on HR processes and procedures, employment laws, recruiting, and other relevant topics.
  • Advise the Store Manager on workforce planning and support recruiting efforts by developing and maintaining professional relationships with external sources.
  • Utilize recruiting tools and employ talent acquisition strategies to source external candidates.
  • Follow up with and track all aspects of employment, including completing employment forms, conducting orientations, and notifying departments of new hire starting dates.
  • Support in the posting and updating of open positions on internal and external job boards.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of human resources administration or related experience.
  • Experience in retail preferred.
  • Strong MS Office proficiency.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and Human Resources systems (Workday strongly preferred).
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment law, recruitment, and employment practices, Equal Employment Opportunity regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends.
  • Travel may be required (10-25%).
