Your Role:
As a Surgical Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in patient care within our advanced surgical oncology unit. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and developing tailored care plans.
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Administering medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Providing pre- and post-operative care to enhance patient recovery.
- Educating patients and their families about treatment options and care plans.
- Facilitating discharge planning in coordination with the care team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Texas or a Compact Nursing License.
- Certification in Chemotherapy Administration is preferred, with training available on-site.
