Your Role:

As a Surgical Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in patient care within our advanced surgical oncology unit. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments and developing tailored care plans.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
  • Administering medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Providing pre- and post-operative care to enhance patient recovery.
  • Educating patients and their families about treatment options and care plans.
  • Facilitating discharge planning in coordination with the care team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Texas or a Compact Nursing License.
  • Certification in Chemotherapy Administration is preferred, with training available on-site.
