Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all unit functions during the assigned shift.

In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established protocols, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies the organization's mission and values to support exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

- Participate in ongoing assessments of the quality of care provided in the unit, collaborating with management.

- Work with subject matter experts and managers to foster a teamwork environment that enhances outcomes and service.

- Promote a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery as needed.

- Support facility engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly checks.

- Provide input on hiring, training, and staff development.

- Recommend and implement actions related to training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure a competitive organization.

- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity standards.
- Oversee inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
- Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree.
