Location: Long Beach, California

Salary: Up to $235,000 + equity (Negotiable)

We are exclusively partnered with a pioneering human-flight organization in Los Angeles. As a Flight Software Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the flight software division and take charge of the design and development of essential flight software and systems.

Key Responsibilities of the Flight Software Manager:

  • Develop and implement flight software for onboard computers and other vital spacecraft components.
  • Work closely with the Electrical and Hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions.
  • Lead and mentor the Flight Software team while providing technical direction.
  • Recruit and onboard new engineers to expand the team.
  • Configure Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Microprocessors, and Linux Kernels/Drivers.
  • Design and conduct comprehensive software testing protocols.

Qualifications for the Flight Software Manager:

  • Proficient in C++ programming and Linux environments (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with hardware datasheets and schematics.
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Make, and GNU utilities.
  • A degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
