As a Flight Software Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the flight software division and take charge of the design and architecture of essential flight software and systems.

Key Responsibilities of the Flight Software Manager:

  • Develop flight software for in-flight computing systems and other vital spacecraft components.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical and Hardware teams to ensure smooth integration of software solutions.
  • Lead and mentor the Flight Software team while providing technical direction.
  • Recruit new engineers to expand the team.
  • Configure Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Microprocessors, and Linux Kernels/Drivers.
  • Design and implement comprehensive software testing protocols.

Qualifications for the Flight Software Manager:

  • Proficient in coding with C++ and experienced in Linux environments (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with hardware datasheets and schematics.
  • Proficient with tools such as Git, Make, and GNU utilities.
  • Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
