Position: Night Shift First Article Inspector in Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing
Role Summary: As a First Article Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of aerospace components. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze blueprints with proficiency in GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Conduct thorough mechanical inspections of machined aerospace components utilizing various hand tools, including micrometers, calipers, and surface plate layout tools.
- Demonstrate experience with manual and DCC CMM, specifically with PC-DMIS software.
- Utilize basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an aerospace inspection or manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T principles is required.
- Familiarity with inspection tools such as optical comparators, height gauges, and profilometers.
- Experience with CMM systems including PCDMIS, QC5000, and Brown and Sharpe Reflex.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Capacity to sit or stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.
