Beverage Supervisor Job Description

Overview:

The Beverage Supervisor is a key member of the Food and Beverage team at Monarch Casino Resort & Spa Black Hawk. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all beverage outlets, maintaining high standards of service, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with all standards and procedures established by the Food and Beverage director and company health and regulatory standards.
  • Implement guest service standards throughout the department and monitor team members to ensure they provide service in accordance with these standards.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and verbal form.
  • Lead the Beverage department to identify, evaluate, and develop strategies to enhance revenue, increase profitability, and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Train team members on proper up-selling and suggestive selling procedures to increase revenue.
  • Decrease expenses through proper handling of product and other suggestive procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and proper comp and cash handling procedures.
  • Operate the Stratton-Warren Inventory system and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain a Colorado Gaming License.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, and stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Must have prior experience and education in this position or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.

Performance Expectations:

  • Implement the Monarch Casino Resort & Spa Black Hawk Mission, Company Policies, and Procedures, as well as departmental policies and procedures.
  • Understand financial reports and apply the information in a timely and practical fashion to improve the operation.
  • Meet the expectations set forth in the Departments operating revenue and expense budget.
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests for information and reports regarding the department.
  • Maintain consistently high levels of guest services as defined and measured within the Monarch Casino Resort & Spa Black Hawk guest service expectations and criteria.
