About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Ameristar. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily management of our facilities, ensuring seamless operations, and driving excellence in customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Supervise staff and manage the overall daily operations of our facilities, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Excellence: Support and administer operational goals, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Adhere to scheduling protocols and coordinate with management to address any concerns, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational continuity.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the budget process by providing recommendations, supporting compliance with departmental budget initiatives, and reporting budget concerns to management.
  • Customer Service: Enthusiastically support and promote superior customer service, ensuring that customer service standards are followed by all team members and addressing issues promptly.
  • Maintenance and Construction: Assist in managing maintenance and construction projects, determining best practices for utilizing in-house resources or external vendors, and ensuring satisfactory project outcomes.
  • OSHA Compliance: Assist in ensuring OSHA standards are followed during designated shifts, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Assist in managing the grounds crew and maintaining property grounds as required, ensuring a clean, attractive, and fully functional environment.
  • Daily Inspections: Conduct daily inspections to ensure facilities are clean, attractive, and fully functional, implementing immediate remediation of problems and reporting any issues to management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance within the area of authority and report potential issues to management.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree (A.A. in a related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: One to two years of related experience and/or training, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Carpentry trades, along with knowledge of generators, fire pumps, and electrical switchgears. Trade license is preferred.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency and literacy in English.
  • Confidentiality and Professionalism: Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Maintenance and Engineering: Previous experience with all aspects of maintenance and engineering, with a special emphasis on electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Problem-Solving and Diplomacy: Ability to maintain a high level of energy, take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues, and interact with guests, staff, and colleagues to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Ability to write reports and business correspondence, effectively present information, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Reading and Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
