Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and quality of the rooms, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all rooms are cleaned and ready for arrival, meeting the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, including training, guest resolution, coaching, and discipline.
  • Assign rooms and tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting productivity goals.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and policies, including OSHA and Health Department guidelines.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction, team morale, and overall department performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Desk, PBX, Reservations, and VIP Services, to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Complete reports and projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager, providing accurate and timely information to support business decisions.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping, with a proven track record of success in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of AAA and Forbes standards, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best.
  • Computer proficiency, with experience using hotel management systems and software.
  • Ability to manage hotel inventory, including supplies and equipment.
Working Environment

The Housekeeping Supervisor works on-site at the Monarch Casino Resort & Spa Black Hawk, interacting with external and internal customers, team members, and vendors on a regular basis.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking, and hearing.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
