Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer IV to join our team at NV Energy. This role will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and operating our telecommunications infrastructure to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement telecommunication systems and circuits, including MPLS networks, fiber optic, SONET, and microwave communications.
  • Provide technical leadership on major projects and system upgrades, including creating documentation and budget recommendations.
  • Assess telecommunication system equipment and develop improvement plans and solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation that meets NERC CIP, WECC, and FERC requirements.
  • Prepare and/or direct the preparation of telecommunication specifications for material purchases.
  • Provide advanced technical support to maintain and operate our telecommunication systems.
  • Renew and modify FCC licenses as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to the position and company.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 15 years of telecommunications or networking experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the corporation, business operations, company products and services, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) circuit.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $115,900 (Min) to $136,300 (Mid), plus up to 15% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity.
