Key Responsibilities

  • Design, oversee, and manage NV Energy's telecommunications systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lead significant projects and system enhancements, offering guidance to project teams.
  • Evaluate equipment and formulate enhancement strategies; analyze the feasibility of proposed improvements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to comply with regulatory standards.
  • Renew and apply for necessary FCC licenses as required.
  • Operate and maintain telecommunication systems, diagnose issues, and deliver technical assistance.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, accompanied by 15 years of experience in telecommunications. Candidates lacking a bachelor's degree must possess 19 years of relevant experience.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Familiarity with laws and regulations, SCADA systems, LAN/WAN switching, routing, MPLS, RF design, fiber optic technology, and more.
  • Proven abilities in time management, effective communication, decision-making, and providing technical leadership.

Compensation Overview

Annual Salary Range: $115,900 (Minimum) to $136,300 (Midpoint); Eligible for up to 15% Short Term Incentive Plan.
