Position Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of a Logistics Specialist to deliver acquisition assistance for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate. This is a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize analytical methodologies to plan, design, and execute innovative information systems that align with the operational needs of client organizations.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify potential opportunities for enhanced business process solutions.

  • Advise on comprehensive functional and systems specifications.
  • Facilitate business process reengineering initiatives.
  • Perform feasibility assessments and trade-off evaluations.
  • Develop business cases for the deployment of IT solutions.
  • Propose the scope and objectives of systems.
  • Create cost projections for new or modified systems.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of all system components, including procedures, databases, policies, software, and hardware.
  • Plan system implementations and ensure strict adherence to information security and cybersecurity protocols throughout the systems analysis process.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics management or acquisition support, with at least 3 years in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, although additional experience may substitute for educational qualifications. The candidate must possess the ability to lead, develop, or execute logistics management operations that encompass planning, coordinating, or assessing the logistical actions necessary to support specific missions, weapon systems, or designated programs. Familiarity with the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning across all phases is essential. Extensive knowledge of defense acquisition management processes in accordance with DoD 5000 is required. Understanding of the DoD's integrated product support element structure is necessary, along with familiarity with the Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) processes. Experience in conducting Logistics Health Assessments (LHA) is preferred. Knowledge of the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook and relevant agency policies regarding government-furnished equipment (GFE) programs is essential. The candidate should be adept at leading project teams to complete complex assignments and have a strong grasp of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems. The ability to coordinate and assess the contributions of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and develop actionable plans is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project is required. Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a Secret clearance.
