Agricultural Sales Specialist:

The Agricultural Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing sales within the Wholesale sector. This position focuses on cultivating and sustaining customer relationships, discerning their requirements, and advocating products to achieve sales objectives.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with hours varying based on customer needs.

Compensation: Base salary for territory sales plus commission, approximately $60,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Development:
  • Identify and engage potential clients within the agricultural sector.
  • Conduct market analysis to comprehend the needs and preferences of agricultural customers.
  • Sales Demonstrations:
    • Create and present persuasive sales demonstrations to highlight agricultural offerings.
    • Emphasize product features, advantages, and value propositions to prospective clients.
  • Negotiation and Finalization:
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to finalize sales agreements.
  • Close sales transactions while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with both existing and new agricultural clients.
  • Provide continuous support and assistance to address client inquiries and concerns.
  • Sales Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including client interactions and transactions.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to devise and implement sales strategies.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote products.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or a related discipline.
Skills and Expertise:
  • Required: Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in agricultural sales or a comparable role.
  • Required: Strong understanding of agricultural products, practices, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Required: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Required: Results-driven with a commitment to meeting and surpassing sales goals.
  • Preferred: 5 years of sales experience in agricultural sales or a similar capacity.
Additional Information:

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. This role involves minimal office work, with the majority of tasks performed on the road. Willingness to travel throughout lower Wisconsin and Northern Illinois is essential.
