Position Overview:

The Electrical Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing various projects from inception to completion. This position is pivotal in ensuring that all projects are executed within the specified timelines, budgets, and operational parameters. The focus of this role is on electrical power systems, control mechanisms, and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor in all communications, whether via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
  • Facilitate and encourage effective conflict resolution among team members and stakeholders.
  • Manage facility enhancement projects, including defining project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop electrical designs for facility upgrades, including specifying necessary equipment such as switchgear and transformers.
  • Draft project scopes of work to solicit contractor bids effectively.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams for the acquisition of goods and services.
  • Plan, schedule, and adjust project timelines in a dynamic construction environment while optimizing resource use and budgets.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate project feasibility, attend progress meetings, and ensure quality assurance and safety standards are upheld.
  • Perform post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Compile project turnover documentation for Operations and Maintenance teams.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Licensed electrician or significant relevant field experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of general electrical experience.
  • Experience with electrical systems operating at voltages up to 15kV.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NFPA 70).
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with diverse groups.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in maintaining project schedules and related documentation.
  • Proficient in software applications, including Microsoft Excel and project management tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Experience Requirements:

Electrical: 5 years (Preferred)

Electrical Engineering: 1 year (Preferred)

Project Management: 1 year (Preferred)
